Feeling Blessed (1 NEW Photo)

Kumasta!!

-I'm so excited Nan and Grandfather will be at the airport!
-My apartment is good! A little small but not bad. It can get really  hot though. It's kind of close to the highway, so it's a little noisy.
-I'll get a hammock thing this
week.
-The photo is of where we meet on Sunday.

It was a busy week, and boy it was hot! We had 4 investigators at church. Our attendance went up from 15 to 23 this week. We're making progress! I don't have much time, but I'd like to share this quick story:

Sister Rosie is a referral from one of the members here, and actually went to church a few times back in the '90's when there were still missionaries here. She's a very sweet sister, and is pretty quick to pick things up. We had taught her lesson one, and our big focus was helping her to pray to know and receive an answer. A few weeks ago in district meeting our district leader talked about helping our investigators really get into the Book of Mormon and helping them receive an answer. We taught her how to pray, and helped her understand how the answer would come. As we closed the lesson, I felt prompted to ask her to give the closing prayer, and to ask right there in the lesson if Joseph Smith was a prophet. As she prayed, I could really feel her sincere humble desire to know. She asked in her prayer if Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and it just felt so peaceful. After she closed the prayer, we looked up at her and she had her hand on her heart, and I could tell she was really feeling something special. She started to have a few tears, and we just sat there silently for a few moments. We then explained that what she was feeling was the Holy Ghost, testifying of the truth. We were so blessed with this experience, and it really strengthened my faith in Moroni's promise, "he will" always answer.

This was my last full week of straight work. This week we go up to San Pablo for a meeting with all trainers and trainees, which will take two days, the next week we'll go up for Zone Conference, another two days, and then the next week on Sunday I go up to the mission home. These last two weeks have been really really challenging, but I think from here time will just fly. It doesn't feel like it's really coming to an end...

Unfortunately the baptism isn't going to go through, ( a baptism in Pola, Alex’s first area that he was in in 2011)but in about two weeks, I'm going to go down there on P-Day and visit everyone!

It was another week of finding. We found 13 new investigators, and some of them are really promising. The Lord is blessing us incredibly as we're working as hard as we can. It's taken me about two years to really learn what my missionary plaque scripture means (When Alex began his mission he chose a favorite scripture that he felt represented how he felt about going on his mission, it was  Alma 26:12, ) but as we see the blessings here in Socorro, we have so much reason to be grateful. We truly are nothing, but in the strength of the Lord we can do all things!

Love,
Elder Yost
