Mom and Dad,
I don't have a lot of
time.....so so sorry. I need to get some reports for the zone into the Mission
President today. It'll be longer next week
-My charger for my razor
broke. I’m having the Bishop take a look at it because he fixes electrical
stuff. I'm hoping he should be able to fix it
-Please send some one of the
magic bars of soap for washing my clothes!
There are good weeks and tough weeks. This week has been a tough week!!! Our work has been good, and we should be having three baptisms on June
16!! Being a Zone Leader is teaching me alot of things. When I came into this Zone there were
some Elders that were not too excited because they know I'm obedient and that
means that they couldn't get away with certain stuff. I'm not being a Dictator and forcing people to do things,
but I just feel like some of the missionaries are not thrilled that I am in the
Zone. We had a zone activity today and some Elders said they were there to "save
my companion from me" and they kept on asking him how I was to be around. My
companion and I are on good terms and that is what is important. There are some
Elders that are just being a bit difficult and words can sting!
I
fasted yesterday to know what I need to do differently as a leader. This is a
new challenge for me and it's tough. How do you be 100% obedient yourself, help
others and not be seen as too strict and crazy? This week I'm really going to
study about becoming a Christ-like leader. I'd love suggestions, especially
from Dad and Grandfather, but really anyone.
Missions sure have a way of
always being challenging. I know this is a trial the Lord wants me to
experience. Please pray for me this week!! I love you all and will write
more next week I promise!
Love,
Elder
Yost
