Short Letter this Week

Here is a picture of our District!

This will be a little shorter because I need to make a calendar for our District. Times short!

The members are really excited about Mitt Romney here! I'm not giving my opinion, don't worry, but it's pretty funny. They don't have any idea about what he believes, but they know he's a member! One brother asked me if Barack Obama was a member and I said no. Every time I see this brother he pumps his fist and starts chanting "Mitt! Mitt! Mitt! Mitt!"

We're teaching some Less-Actives that work at call centers and they are scared because they say Obama is trying to shut them down. Is that true? If it is, it's pretty interesting how the choices the President makes has global consequences.

I interviewed an awesome 57 year old man for baptism this week. He's about 4'11, and lives all by himself. He's a former preacher and the most humble man I've ever met. I asked him what he knew about tithing and he said, "Elder, let's open up to Malachi." He told me how one of the things he's most excited for is the opportunity to pay tithing. He said, "I need those blessings!" The missionaries said at his baptism he was invited to bear his testimony, and gave a long sermon!
